School Council does fundraising campaigns to financially support important projects for Franklin including:

  • Technology initiatives (including purchase of iPads and other equipment).
  • Gym and outdoors equipment
  • Guest speakers for school assemblies and parent speakers
  • Home reading and library programs
  • Greening initiatives, including a major overhaul of the kindergarten area this summer with more to come.

To continue to do this Franklin needs your support for our fundraising activities.  Your child is bringing home a package for our QSP magazine fundraiser.  This is a program the school has run for a number of years and had success in generating funds for various activities.

QSP offers 100s of popular Magazines for all ages and interests.  You can renew existing magazines, buy new magazines and give magazines as gifts!  You save up to 85% off the cover price for these magazines!  All this and Franklin gets back over 35% of sales dollars, or about $10 of every subscription!

There is an information sheet along with fundraising package that explains how orders can be complete on-line or by filling out order forms.  Very important for this year, cheques are to be made payable to QSP and not Franklin public school (as indicated on the forms) for ease of tabulating and submitting orders.  If you do not receive a fundraising package, they can be picked up at the office.

Franklin School Council will also be selling Treasure books starting later in October.  The books have a sleek new design, a great new app with savings across Canada on all kinds of items.  The cost of the books has gone down, but Franklin still receives $10 for each book sold.  So watch for the Treasurers book campaign!

Your support helps our school council to continue to fund important projects and initiatives!
