We know you love to volunteer and we appreciate your help!

The Waterloo Region District School Board requires,

“Prior to volunteering, submit an original copy of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) if supervising students that are not in direct proximity of a staff member or if deemed necessary by the Principal”.

This means that all volunteers should apply online to the Police Services in the area in which they reside, and complete the application form. This Vulnerable Sector Check will cost $10.00 if done with the Waterloo Police Services.

In discussion with our School Council, a decision was made to inform parents now and then make Criminal Records checks mandatory at Franklin, starting January 8, 2018.
