Stanley Park Community Closet

 

Stanley Park Public School will be hosting our Community Closet on Thursday April 19, 3:30 – 6:00 pm in the school library.  We believe in trying to meet the needs of the whole child and have a vision of making Stanley Park a hub for community members.

The Community Closet will have new clothing ranging in sizes from infant to adult.  There will also be some previously loved items available. Our goal is to get these items to our families.  Due to the generosity of businesses and individuals these items are free. Some families will ask about payment, and our response is “pay it forward however you can – maybe you can help a neighbour – rake leaves or shovel their driveway.”

Please encourage your families to join us.  You are also welcome to come and pick up some items to assist families in your school.

We do reach out to our community to support our venture through monetary donations or a donation of items that could be used in our Community Closet.  If you have some connections please contact Kim Daymond for more information 519-378-3750 ext 3.
