Most of you are aware of the tragic accident that occurred last week in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.  Many schools in the WRDSB and across the country are having an impromptu “jersey day” to show support for and solidarity with the community of Humboldt.

Franklin will participate in “jersey day” this Thursday, April 12.  It is very important that this is not a typical jersey-wearing spirit day.  Please explain to your children the significance of this gesture in an age-appropriate way.  Any athletic jersey can be worn (it doesn’t have to be hockey), or if students prefer they can wear the colours of the Humboldt Broncos (green and yellow).
