Hello Franklin Parents/Guardians,

To those who were able to attend our Family Night on either Thursday evening or the garage sale/clothing sale on Friday, thank you! Many hands made this event possible and we are truly grateful to Franklin staff for organizing it and to families who donated clothing or food items.  Any remaining items are being donated to the Kidney Foundation and many families will be helped this season, with the funds raised.
With two weeks to go, before the students have a two week break, here are your reminders and updates.
Reminders:
1. Please have your children to school on time unless an appointment as well established routines really help children, especially at chaotic times like holiday seasons. It also teaches children that they have a responsibility which is truly a life skill. Saying that, we do have a sign in process so, if you are running late, you may have to wait until the sign-in i-pad is free so allow for extra time for that.
2. The last day of school before the 2 week break is Friday December 23rd.
3. To stay updated on board and school events, remember to check out https://www.wrdsb.ca/ and  https://fra.wrdsb.ca/
Updates:
1. Monday December 12th is the Committee of the Whole meeting at the board. Please join the following link, if interested in attending….https://www.youtube.com/c/WRDSBVideo/live
2. This Wednesday is another Lunch and Learn session if interested.

Quote of the Week:

From the Book, The Kindness Advantage – Cultivating Compassionate and Connected Children, “Children who are raised in a culture where giving and compassion are valued become happier and more positively engaged with those around them. They are less likely to treat others disrespectfully.” (D. Atkins, A. Salzhauer)
