Good morning Franklin Families. Here are your reminders and updates.
Reminders:

1. The Food Drive begins this Tuesday April 18th. Please see the attachment for more details.

2. School Council is this Thursday starting at 6:30 pm. For those who cannot attend in person, here is the link for you to join.

3. Please remember that even if classes go outside for outdoor learning, they cannot leave the teacher until the bell at 3:40 pm unless they have been signed out at the office.

4. Our sign is still broken and although the electrician was in, it has been rerouted to our technology department. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon. We regret the inconvenience.

5. This Wednesday April 19th is the last day to send in any Toonies for Tummies to support Franklin’s Nutrition for Learning Program. Thank you so much for your generosity!

6. This is National Volunteer Week and we want to say THANK YOU so much to those who have been able to help with Strong Start, Nutrition for Learning, School Trips, School Council, etc. We are truly grateful and as it takes a “village to raise a child”; in a school, “together, we can do so much.”

How to Attend

2. There is a Committee of the Whole Meeting this Wednesday April 19th from 7 to 9 pm. Here is the link: www.youtube.com/c/WRDSBVideo/live

3. For families of grade 6 students who are attending Stanley Park Senior Public School, there is an Open House from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday, May 11th. There will be an opportunity to meet the staff and tour the school.

4. Please note that climbers/outdoor play structures are still closed. One of them (primary side) needs the slide repaired, cold and snow supposedly returning this week and we are waiting for the ground underneath them to be rototilled so children have softer landings.
