Last Reminders and Updates of 2022-23

Dear Families,
Once again, it has been an honour to serve you, your children and the staff. As always, your children and their energy have made coming to school each and every day a pleasure. We know that every day is/was different when it comes to children and their emotions. One day, their friend is the best ever and they are smiling and laughing and the next day, due to a disagreement or bad choice, there is sadness or tears. For each of these, we try to help/have helped the children navigate those feelings and consider options for what to do, or say, etc. We know that this is all part of growing up and that growing up has its ups and downs. We hope that we have given them strategies for this. As well, each child has progressed academically in some way which is always a wonderful progression to watch. Well done to our Franklin Falcons!

As we conclude the year, we recognize that our grade 6s will be going on to future endeavours (grade 7) and we wish them a wonderful experience at their next schools. It has been wonderful seeing them grow their skills over the years.

Finally, I leave you our last reminders and updates for the 2022-23 school year. Next year’s reminders and updates will begin again in late August, 2023.

Reminders:

1. If you do not have School-Day, please ensure you sign up as that is where you will find out what class your child is in on the long weekend in September. Please remind our new families of this.

2. Please give your children time to read and or read to them, while asking questions, so that some of their recent learning does not get lost over the summer. For math, math games or helping with counting, baking (measurement) and reviewing math facts in a fun way, will go a long way for when they return.

Updates:

1. If your child has lost their glasses, we have five pairs of glasses that were found and are in the office. The office is still open on Tuesday July 4th. Call the office before coming, if you think one of these belong to your children.

2. The office will not re-open again until Monday August 28th.
