  1. Stanley Park Community Centre (505 Franklin Street North) has a T-ball information session, if you are interested, where you will get information about the upcoming season, can arrange payment terms, or get financial assistance.
  2. “Grades 4, 5 and 6 students across Canada are invited to submit a poem or essay explaining what home means to them. The Meaning of Home contest, in support of Habitat for Humanity, is a great opportunity for students to learn about giving back to their community and the importance of having a safe home, while improving their creative writing skills and raising money for their local Habitat organization.   3. OTIP Teaching Awards Nominations are now open for the 2024 OTIP Teaching Awards. “For many years, these awards have recognized the excellence of teachers in publicly funded education. There are three categories of awards: elementary teacher, secondary teacher and new teacher in the first five years of teaching.
