Hello Franklin Families, Here are your reminders and updates.
Reminders:

1. The next PD Day is Friday May 31st. On this day, there is no school for students.

2. Next, and last Council meeting of the year is on the third Thursday in May, May 16th. Here is the link if you are not able to make it in person. See School-Day for the link.

3. The Humane Society is coming to visit on May 8th, 9th and 10th. Our goal for Franklin is to raise $1000.00! That’s approximately a toonie per student. If you are able, please consider donating to the KW Humane Society by following this link. You may also bring toonies to class to support The Humane Society!

5. Grade 6 Summer School… please see last week’s School-Day message. If interested, please let the school know. Here are the two programs available and dates.

6. Grade 6 Parent Night for future Sunnyside Students. – Save the date: June 13th, 6:30-7:30pm.

7. Grade 6 orientation evening for future Stanley Park students. Save the Date: Thursday May 16 2024 from 6:15-7:30pm.

Updates:

1. With the money raised from family night, we decided to buy some bins and equipment for students to use outdoors during nutrition break. Each pod was given a large white bin with colour coded equipment including two soccer balls, two basketballs, two footballs, two four-square balls, a frisbee, 4 skipping ropes, 2 sets of scoops and balls, 8 flat pylons, a skip-hop game and a storage bag.

2. Jump Rope for Heart will be occurring on June 4
