5. Grade 6 orientation evening for future Stanley Park students. Save the Date: Thursday May 16 2024 from 6:15-7:30pm.
6. Please encourage families with K students to register as soon as possible as we have another opportunity to submit numbers this year and it is always easier to add a class now (if numbers/system allow it) versus once classes have started in the fall. An update on class structures will occur around mid to end of June.
Updates:
1. With the money raised from Family Night, bins and equipment were bought for students to use during outdoor nutrition breaks. Each pod was given a large white bin with colour coded equipment including two soccer balls, two basketballs, two footballs, two four-square balls, a frisbee, 4 skipping ropes, 2 sets of scoops and balls, 8 flat pylons, a skip-hop game and a storage bag. They are being well used and enjoyed.
2. Tether balls were also bought for outdoor recess times and both are being well used. Students love them and are very engaged trying to win at the game.
3. Jump Rope for Heart will be occurring on June 4. They enjoyed a recent assembly on this. Here is your school page link https://jumpropeforheart.crowdchange.ca/45669 if you would like to donate.
4. The Board has launched a new Multilingual Language Learner (MLL) resources site (https://www.wrdsb.ca/learning/programs/multilingual-language-learners-mll-department/) on their website. These resources are designed to support MLL students, families and caregivers as there is information on:
