Hello Everyone.
We hope your children enjoyed their day off on Friday. Here are your reminders and updates.
Reminders:
1. Families can now register their child(ren) for Kindergarten and Before and After School Programs for the 2024-25 school year. Please remember that the more accurate these numbers, and all of our numbers are, the less likely restructuring in Kindergarten or other grades occurs in September. Here are the links for you.

Updates:
1. Report Cards will be going home February 16th. Please remember that your child’s report card should not surprise you based on the work brought home and discussions with teachers throughout a term. Always reach out to your child’s educator if you have questions or concerns.
2. We now have 12 Trailblazers at our school. (Two more waiting for training). These students are visible as they wear a vest on their walk to and from school. If your child is a walker or dropped off farther from the school, they can join the Trailblazer who is walking. Please remember that the Trailblazer is modelling safe walking and is not there to babysit children, rather, to welcome any walkers and allow for groups to walk to school together.
3. Our outdoor sign is NOT working once again. It is being looked into.
4. Remember to check the Franklin website calendar for any events that are coming up.
5. With the start of 2024, more activities are available to our students during breaks if children choose to participate. Activities presently underway include Grade 1 Yoga, Peacemaker Club, Kindness Club, Primary and Junior Choirs, MLL Games Club, and Grade 6 Card Club. Basketball is soon starting for our older students and Sewing Club for a few that came forward. Most activities are for older students and some, for younger students.
6. We do ask that you remind your children to listen attentively to announcements as that is where they will hear various opportunities available to them and they should be encouraged to attend information meetings on activities before making a final decision on whether to participate or not.
