Pink Shirt Day is Friday, November 24

Franklin will be celebrating Pink Shirt Day on Friday, Nov. 24 to stand up to bullying.  If you don’t have a shirt, just wear anything that is pink.  We hope to have pink showing on all of our 630 students and all of our staff.  Join in and stand up to bullying.

Waterloo Region Anti-bullying week is Nov. 19-25

Waterloo Region is declaring next week Anti-bullying week. Franklin will be planning some activities to highlight to need to stop bullying at school and everywhere. Stay tuned…..

Try Hockey on ice event is this Sunday, Nov. 19

If your child is in Grade 2 or 3 and received a card from Try Hockey to come out and try hockey on ice, the event is free to those students and is this Sunday, Nov. 19 at the Kitchener Auditorium from 9:00-10:30.  Bring the whole family.

Supporting your Child’s Mental Health Session

Conestoga Public School is hosting a presentation on Children’s Mental Health on Tuesday, Nov. 14.  Doors open at 6:30 and speaker begins at 7:00. Franklin was so fortunate to have “Try Hockey” come to our school so our students would have a chance to learn and practise some new hockey skills.  The students and teachers had a great time learning and practising.  The staff from Try Hockey were fantastic.  We are so appreciative of this opportunity.
